Ferguson joins CT State Library Task Force to help Afghan refugees
Stamford, November 23, 2021 - The Connecticut State Library has formed a Public Library Task Force consisting of libraries in communities receiving Afghan refugees to identify ways that the Connecticut library community can support the organizations welcoming refugees and offer direct services. These libraries are Bridgeport Public Library, Ferguson Library in Stamford, New Haven Free Public Library, Public Library of New London, Phoebe Griffin Knowles Library, Norwalk Public Library, Old Lyme and Russell Library, Middletown.

CTNext is now accepting applications for its next cohort of fellows for the Governor’s Innovation Fellowship (GIF). College students who have or will graduate in 2021 or are on track to graduate in the spring of 2022 are eligible. The deadline for applications is Friday, Nov. 19.

Online Catalog Offers New Features
Choosing your next read doesn't need to be daunting. The Ferguson Library's online catalog now offers new features that make it easier to find a book you'll enjoy.
Just click on a favorite title, select "details," and you will find other books by the same author, suggested readings, a brief biography and professional and reader reviews. If the book is part of a series, you can also learn what else is available about your favorite character.

If you are looking to kick-start your environmental education, visit GreenFile, a research database of journal articles and books covering all aspects of human impact on the environment.
