Passports

Due to new federal guidelines from the U.S. Department of State, the Ferguson Library can no longer offer passport services. Under this directive, passport services may only be provided by designated government agencies, not 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations such as the Ferguson. The Ferguson Library has offered passport services since 1999 and processed almost 8,000 applications last year. This change will have a significant impact on the library’s ability to provide services to the public, and we are actively exploring sustainable funding alternatives to reduce the impact of this change.

If you disagree with this decision to close the Ferguson Library passport office, we encourage you to contact your federal representatives and share your concerns.

The Ferguson Library continues to offer professional passport and visa photo services for all countries.

We provide:

  • $18 for printed passport photos
  • $22 for digital passport photos

In addition to passport and visa photos, we can also provide photos for certain identification requirements, including gun permits and security guard IDs. Our staff ensures your photo meets official requirements so you can submit your application with confidence. For questions, please contact the Passport Office at 203-351-8210.
