Location Information
The South End Branch, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2020, is located in the Lathon Wider Community Center in Stamford’s South End, a fast-growing neighborhood that is currently undergoing tremendous change.
The South End Branch serves a diverse community, which includes many recent immigrants. It has an eclectic, culturally diverse collection, including Spanish language, and French/Creole materials, self-help materials, popular reading and children’s books.
The branch offers many educational and recreational programs, including parent/child workshops, Homework Cafe, music and cultural programs and a long-running adult book discussion that focuses on African and African-American authors.
Southbound on I-95
Take I-95 to Exit 7. Continue straight to Atlantic Street. Turn left onto Atlantic Street, and continue until you reach Woodland Avenue. Turn left on Woodland Avenue. The library is 34 Woodland Avenue, housed in the CTE Building.
Northbound on I-95
Take I -95 to Exit 7. Continue straight until you get to Washington Blvd. Go thru traffic light, and take the next left onto Henry Street. Drive one block and turn right onto Atlantic Street. Go one block and turn left onto Woodland Avenue. The library is housed in the CTE Building.
The South End Branch has parking onsite.
