Hoopla, the digital media service offered by the Ferguson Library that allows users to borrow movies, music, audiobooks, e-books, comics and TV shows, relaunched its August Bonus Borrows program.

Let's Discuss Health Equity
Health Equity Solutions (HES), a Connecticut nonprofit that promotes policies, programs and practices that support equitable health care access, delivery and outcomes for all state residents, released a survey here to collect your insight about health equity issues that concern you. Residents are strongly encouraged to participate; all input will remain confidential and will help inform HES's 2023 legislative agenda and the work of the new Commission on Racial Equity and Public Health. The survey only takes five minutes to complete.
Calling all Writers to Check Out BiblioBoard
The Ferguson library now offers BiblioBoard, a self-publishing tool that delivers unlimited access to local books and stories from self-published authors. Here, authors can submit e-book samples to the Indie Author Project to have it showcased in the Indie Connecticut Collection for readers to enjoy. Authors can also create professional-quality, print-ready and e-book files using the Pressbooks Public module.

Free Admission for Kids at State Museums
This summer, Connecticut children ages 18 and younger can visit participating museums for free with an accompanying adult who is also a resident thanks to the Connecticut Summer at the Museum program. For more information about participating museums, restrictions, exclusions and block-out dates, visit here. The program, geared for families, not camp or youth groups, is available through September 15.
Participants may be asked to show proof of residency.
The Connecticut Child Tax Rebate Now Accepting Applications
The child tax rebate, recently authorized by the Connecticut General Assembly, was signed into law by Governor Ned Lamont to help Connecticut families by providing a rebate of up to $250 per child, for up to three children. Applications are being accepted until July 31.

Celebrate Pride Month with Frankie M. Cyanide
In the Ferguson Library's latest podcast episode, Selina Policar, also known as Frankie M. Cyanide, the busiest drag king in Connecticut, tells her story, shares some thoughts and describes ongoing events marking Pride Month. Policar currently serves on the board of Stamford Pride.

Learn About the New Fix It Stamford Public Dashboard
The Ferguson Library, in partnership with the City of Stamford, will welcome a Citizen Service Representative, who will lead two sessions Thursday, June 9 about the new Fix It Stamford public dashboard. Participants will learn how to enter a city service request, navigate the public dashboard and review the different features the new Fix It Stamford offers. The sessions will be held 11:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.
