Cheryl Bryant Harper named Director of Administrative Services

STAMFORD, July 15, 2021  – The Ferguson Library is pleased to announce the promotion of Cheryl Bryant Harper to Director of Administrative Services. She replaces Nick Bochicchio, who has retired after 27 years of service to the library.

Harper will oversee the library’s operations and finances, including the Business Office, where she previously served as Business Office Supervisor. She brings thirty years of significant experience in accounting, payroll administration, software implementation, training and organizational management to her new role.

When we hired Cheryl five years ago, we knew with her deep experience in budgeting and finance she would be the right person to succeed Nick,” said Ferguson Library President Alice Knapp. “Cheryl’s promotion to Director of Administrative Services will provide continuity in this critical position and ensure the library is prepared to meet ongoing financial challenges.”

Before joining the Ferguson Library in 2016, Harper was a Senior Accountant with the Town of Wilton, a role that followed her tenure of fifteen years at Manhanttanville College in Purchase, New York, where she held various position with increased responsibilities within the Controller’s Office. Given her varied background in IT and finance she was “tapped” to lead the implementation of the software upgrade for the college, while earning a master’s degree in Organizational Management and Human Resources Development.

I am excited to assume my responsibilities as the new Director of Administrative Services and look forward to leading this great team to best enhance and optimize our resources,” said Harper. “We will continue to work together to support the mission of the Ferguson Library and serve the Stamford community.”
