Registering to Vote

Registering to vote is simple and once you are a registered voter you can use that documentation to help get a copy of your birth certificate or other forms of ID.

You are only ineligible to register to vote if you were convicted of a felony and are still on parole. If you are on probation, have completed your sentence, or if you were convicted of a misdemeanor, you are eligible to vote.

To register to vote you must fill out a one-page voter registration form. Then bring the form to the Registrar's Office at the Stamford Government Center Monday through Friday 8 a.m.- 4 p.m. or mail it to:
