In this timely talk, Dr. Samoon Ahmad, Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine, provides an overview of the biology of stress. He also reviews tools that individuals can use to eliminate bad habits that may have worsened during the pandemic and new interventions for those who want to make positive changes to their lives.

A practicing physician for more than 30 years, Dr. Ahmad has dedicated his professional life to helping individuals find balance in their mental and physical well-being. In addition to his work at NYU, he served as the Unit Chief of the Inpatient Unit at Bellevue Hospital, where he was recognized for his distinguished service in 2014 and was named Bellevue’s Physician of the Year in Psychiatry for his continued pursuit of clinical excellence, leadership, and dedication at the institution.
