Brenda Lewis, Principal, Transactions Marketing, Inc. (TMI)

Brenda has 40 years of experience in positioning and strategic marketing. Through TMI she executes the launch and funding of enterprise mission critical software, systems and services, and has launched 24 ventures in healthcare, IT, security, telecommunications, information, fintech and location services markets. Prior to starting TMI, Brenda spent 15 years in systems and industrial marketing at Exxon International, Marine Management Systems, Inc. and Pechiney Ugine Kuhlman .

Brenda graduated cum laude in economics from Smith College and holds an MBA from the University of Connecticut. She also attended Harvard Business School's Program for Management Development and earned a Certificate in Telecommunications Management from New York University.

On a pro bono basis, Brenda is a charter organizer of the Kauffman Foundation’s One Million Cups/Stamford. She serves as a judge for the annual Draper Competition for Collegiate Women Entrepreneurs at Smith College, for TechStars Startup Weekend, and for the CT New Venture Challenge. She also served on the Steering Committee for Innovate Stamford, which won a $2 million CT NEXT Innovation District grant.
