Brenda Lewis, Principal, Transactions Marketing, Inc. (TMI)

Fifty percent of new ventures fail because of mistakes in defining markets. Brenda has 40 years of experience in positioning and marketing as founder of Transactions Marketing Inc. TMI has launched 24 ventures in healthcare, IT, security, telecommunications, information, fintech and location services markets. Prior to founding TMI, Brenda had key systems and industrial marketing roles at companies including Exxon International, Marine Management Systems Inc., and Pechiney Ugine Kulhman.

On a pro bono basis, Brenda is a charter organizer of the Kauffman Foundation’s One Million Cups/Stamford. She is a judge for the annual Draper Competition for Collegiate Women Entrepreneurs at her alma mater, Smith College. She has also served as a judge at TechStars Startup Weekend and the CT New Venture Challenge. She was on the Steering Committee for Innovate Stamford when it won a 2018 Women of Innovation award.

She received a degree in Economics from Smith College and her MBA from the University of Connecticut. She attended Harvard Business School’s Program for Management Development and earned a Certificate in Telecommunications management from New York University.
