Senior Community Service Employment Program Information Session

Representatives of Associates for Training and Development (A4TD), a nonprofit that provides training and employment services to workers ages 55 and older, will lead an information session about its Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP).

SCSEP is a community service and work-based job training program for older Americans. Funded by the U. S. Department of Labor and the Connecticut Department of Aging and Disabilities, SCSEP helps mature job seekers obtain updated employment skills as a “stepping stone” back into the workforce. Eligible workers are placed in a host agency for paid positions on a temporary basis. The program also serves a community service objective by supporting the partner agencies that host SCSEP trainees.
