Screening of the documentary The Right to Read, which sheds light on the current illiteracy crisis in America and offers insight into actionable steps we can take to address this critical issue.

Panel discussion following the screening will feature Dr. Tamu Lucero, Superintendent of Stamford Public Schools; Dr. Alexandra Estrella, Superintendent of Norwalk Public Schools; Steven Hernandez, Executive Director for the Commission on Women, Children and Seniors; Michael A. Hyman, Stamford Board of Education; Allison Gushée Molkenthin, Executive Producer of The Right to Read. The discussion will be moderated by educator Charmaine Tourse-Davis.
