Program Description

Event Details

Do you love mysteries? Join the Mystery Readers Book Group! The group meets every 2nd Wednesday of the month at 10:00 AM.

This month's book will be Eileen by Ottessa Moshfegh. The book can be picked up at the first floor Information Desk.

Played out against the snowy landscape of coastal New England in the days leading up to Christmas, young Eileen’s story is told from the gimlet-eyed perspective of the now much older narrator. Creepy, mesmerizing and sublimely funny, in the tradition of Shirley Jackson and early Vladimir Nabokov, this powerful debut novel enthralls and shocks, and introduces readers to one of the most original new voices in contemporary literature.

Registration required.

Note: This month's evening meeting will take place from 5 to 6:00 p.m. to allow attendees time to join the Friends of the Ferguson Library's Literary Pub Crawl. We hope to see you there after the book discussion!
