Meet first-time author Yvette Cole, a kindergarten teacher, who will read from her debut picture book Harriet's Dinner Party.

The author, born and raised in Harlem, New York, is an advocate for implementing diversity, equity and inclusion in the classroom. She was inspired to write Harriet's Dinner Party after struggling to find a book to read to her class that covered Black history but was still fun and engaging for younger audiences.
