Valerie Taylor, a Stamford native and former branding and marketing executive, is the author of the romance trilogy, What's Not Said, What's Not True, and What's Not Lost. She is currently writing a new Venus Bixby mystery series, which kicked off with the publication of A Whale of a Murder in 2024.
Taylor graduated from Sacred Heart University with a B.S. in business administration and an MBA, after which she worked at Xerox, Executive Development Associates, a start-up executive education and coaching firm, and Optima Group, later Clarion Brand Communications. She began writing fiction after retiring in 2016. When she’s not writing, reading, practicing tai chi or cheering for the Boston Red Sox or the New England Patriots, she’s sharing her wisdom and values with her granddaughter, who's growing up way too fast.
Belle Calhoune is a New York Times and Publishers Weekly bestselling author of more than 50 novels published by Harlequin Love Inspired and Grand Central/Forever Publishing. Her 2019 book, An Alaskan Christmas, was made into the movie Love, Alaska by Brain Power Studio, which aired on UPtv.
Calhoune, who was raised in a small town in Massachusetts as one of five children, grew up across the street from a public library. Married to her college sweetheart, she raised two daughters and currently resides in Connecticut with her mini poodle Copper and her black Lab Beau.
