Event Details

Maria Marchetti, chef and owner of Columbus Park Trattoria in Stamford, will demonstrate how to prepare cavatelli using the library's mobile kitchen.

Teens and adults.

Registration required.

Maria Marchetti is known for her restaurant’s homemade pasta, which she makes for Columbus Park as well as the Marchetti family’s two other restaurants, Osteria Applausi in Greenwich and Tarantino's in Westport. In addition to making all the pasta by hand, she does private parties in people’s homes and teaches cooking classes.

Marchetti was born in Gravina, Puglia, in southern Italy, and has brought the flavors from her town to the U.S. along with a few simple rules she follows at the restaurants: Dishes must be  made with simple and fresh ingredients, and all customers must  be treated like family.
