Former U.S. Senator Phil Gramm will talk about his new book, The Myth of American Inequality: How Government Biases Policy Debate. Written with economist Robert Ekelund and John Early, a former leader of the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the book argues that when the data are adjusted to account for government income transfers, the distribution of income in the U.S. aligns closely with its peers in the developed world.
