Earn Volunteer Hours by Reviewing Books
The Ferguson Library is offering volunteer hours to teens grades 6 to 12 to write book reviews. Reviews will be featured on the library's Youth Instagram page and displayed with reviewed books at the library.
Teens may submit up to two book reviews per week here. For each review approved by a librarian, teens will receive one hour of volunteer credit.
Forums to Address Long-Range Planning for Stamford School Facilities
The City of Stamford, in collaboration with Stamford Public Schools, is developing a master plan to address the current and future needs of Stamford's school campuses and facilities. As part of this process, a series of public forums will be held for community members to hear from experts about this plan. Each meeting will address specific themes; all will provide the same opening presentation and allow time for questions.

Get a FREE Developmental Screening App. Stamford is pleased to provide Sparkler, a free developmental screening application, available in English and Spanish, that promotes healthy early childhood development and helps you advocate for your child. With the help of Sparkler, parents and families have access to the Ages and Stages Questionnaire (a developmental screening), developmentally aligned play activities, parent forums, and early childhood coaches.

Books For Summer Reading at the Friends Book Shop
Stop in and check out the Friends Book Shop, the only independent book store in Stamford, for some great summer reads! All books available are very gently used and at modest prices, with the proceeds going to support the library.
