Support Literacy and Learning Over the Summer

Stamford Cradle to Career, Family Centers and Stamford Public Schools, in partnership with the Ferguson Library, will host literacy workshops at the Harry Bennett Branch July 11 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. and at the Main Library July 18 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. These workshops will cover strategies on how to avoid the summer slide, a tendency for students lose some of the achievement gains they made during the school year.

This hour-long program, created for children in grades K to 5 and accompanying adults, is designed for parents to be engaged with the child and will be presented by the Outreach Team at Family Centers.
