Introducing Librarian Anthony Marrocolla

If you've noticed a new face at the information desk, then you've met Anthony Marrocolla, who recently joined the Ferguson Library as a Programming and Outreach Librarian.

Anthony's skill set is well suited to the library's mission to serve Stamford's diverse community. His typical day may include providing assistance at the desk and compiling resource and database information for library users, among other tasks. But what you may not see is his work behind the scenes: reaching out to community and industry partners to develop collaborations that will bring enriching programming to the library. A look at our calendar of upcoming events already reveals his growing outreach. Events include film screenings, mystery book discussions, historic walking tours, author engagements, lectures covering current events and more. "I want to reach those communities of people who are not coming to the library," he says.

Anthony comes to the Ferguson Library from the New Canaan Library, where he worked since 2017, most recently as Manager of Adult Services and Programming.
