The newly launched Stamford Youth Mental Health Alliance (SYMHA), a coalition of more than two dozen Stamford civic, faith-based and non-profit organizations, will host a panel discussion about the mental health challenges young people often face and the support they need to achieve wellness. This event, co-sponsored by the Bank of America, will be held at the Ferguson Library Wednesday, November 30 at 6 p.m. Register here.
The program will include the screening of selections from the PBS documentary series Hiding in Plain Sight; Youth Mental Illness.
The SYMHA, formed in response to the rising mental health crises experienced by Stamford youth, was created to develop a community-wide response network that will promote prevention and early screening in order to intervene sooner and care for kids in a more holistic manner.
