Teen Volunteer

Calling All Teens: Become a Summer Volunteer

Teens can earn volunteer credit by helping kids and teens sign up for the Summer Learning Clubs, report their reading progress, and assist with special projects and activities. Stop by any branch to submit a required application, which can be found here.

One training session must be completed to volunteer; these will be held June 3 from 2 to 4 p.m., June 5 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., and June 28 from 2 to 4 p.m. All volunteers must be 12 years old or older by June 10.

Friends Book Shop

Book Donation Days at the Harry Bennett Branch

Book donations will again be accepted at the Harry Bennett Branch the first Saturday of every month starting June 3. All are welcome to bring their gently used books to the auditorium from 12 to 3 p.m. Mark your calendars: Future donation days include July 1, September 2, October 7, November 4 and December 2. For donation guidelines, click here.

Donations are welcome any time during library hours at the Main Library Book Shop.

Registration is now open for the Stamford Public Education Foundation Summer Start program for children entering Kindergarten at Stamford Public Schools for the 2023-2024 school year. Summer Start is a free, five-week, half-day program for students who have not had a complete pre-K experience during the 2022-2023 school year.
