DESCRIPTION:Master woodworker Mark Andreas will teach basic techniques nee
 ded to assemble a birdhouse using precut pieces of wood.\r\nNo prior exper
 ience necessary. All supplies will be provided. One bird house per family.
 \r\nTeens and adults; attendees younger than 16 must be accompanied by an 
 adult. \r\nMark Andreas is a sculptor, educator. Andreas’s art work exp
 lores the changing role of time, ecology, hand craft, technology and its i
 mpact on the present day human experience. Andreas’s artistic approach i
 s informed by his background as a boat builder, sailor, crafts person and 
 fascination with nature. Andreas has lectured, taught, and given workshops
  at Yale University, Aalto University in Finland, University of Tennessee,
  University of Kobe in Japan, Groningen University in the Netherlands, Atl
 antic Technological University In Ireland.\r\nHe is currently teaching scu
 lpture and woodwork at Studio Andreas Woodworking in Stamford. Over the la
 st 25 years, Andreas has exhibited his artwork both nationally and interna
 tionally with exhibitions at the Cress Gallery, University of Tennessee, G
 alleria Anhava Helsinki, Luda Gallery St. Petersburg, SIGN Gallery in the 
 Netherlands, and C.A.P. Kobe Japan.\r\nAndreas’s sculpture stands as pub
 lic art in Peekskill, New York; Stockholm, Sweden; and Connemara, Ireland.
