Join Barry Woods for a conversation about the subject of his book, Reasons Why Youth Don't Give a Damn Anymore!. Former NBA star Allan Houston will be with Barry to kick things off. Book sale and signing.

A New Jersey native, Barry Woods made his way to Connecticut by way of athletics. He attended Southern Connecticut State University, where he was a member of the 1996-1997 Men's Basketball Elite Eight Championship Team. He earned his Bachelor's Degree and Master's in Humans Services from Walden University. He is the winner of the 2013 Passion Award, 2019 MayTag Dependable Leadership Award, and 2020 Community Leadership Award from the Stamford Boys and Girls Club. Mr. Woods comes from a winning culture with a dynamic leadership background and relationship-building is his forte. Having experienced his own challenges as a troubled youth, he understands the need for different outlets and the importance of positive adult role models in the lives of young people. Mr. Woods currently resides in Connecticut with his wife Patricia and daughter Alexis.

Former NBA star with the NY Knicks, Allan Houston is the founder of the Allan Houston Legacy Foundation, which supports a unique combination of basketball and relationship building activities for fathers and children, and mentors and mentees emphasizing leadership, communication and the importance of spending quality time together. This program has served more than 1,500 participants in New York, Detroit, Atlanta, Dallas and Louisville.
