T-MAD is the library's Teen Advisory Board, made up of boys and girls from middle school and high school.
MISSION STATEMENT:
As The Ferguson Library's Teen Advisory Board, we plan to promote teen
literacy, encourage teens to read more, attract teens to the library and be
a positive teen presence in the library.
OBJECTIVES:
- Keep library staff
up-to-date on teen interests and concerns.
- Help staff select
materials and plan programs that will appeal to teens.
- Get the word out to
teens that the library is a great place to visit.
- Make the library more
teen-friendly.
- Help librarians carry
out children's programs.
- Assist the Friends of
the Ferguson Library.
At monthly T-MAD meetings, members discuss books they've read and help
librarians plan library programs for teens.
