The Baby Center - This searchable site is a good resource for parents and parents-to-be. It covers preconception through toddlerhood and includes the babycenter store where thousands of products can be bought.

BabyZone - A great site for new and expectant parents. Find links for everything from baby names to books and toys.

BabyNames - Looking for a good baby name?  Check here for thousands of names and their meanings.

Cooking With Kids - Characters from your children's favorite PBS television shows introduce games, recipes and other food related activities.

Connect for Kids - Published by the Benton Foundation and supported by many organizations including the Advertising Council and NBC TV, this site aims to inspire adults to advocate for kids in their communities. Check out the articles, newsletter and suggestions for actions we can all take on behalf of children.

EarlyChildhood.com - A place to find expert advice on the issues of early childhood, and a chance to interact with the early childhood community.

Early Literacy Activities - A series of simple activities (in English and Spanish) that encourage the development of language and literacy in young children.  Includes instructions and evaluation forms to assist adults using the activities with children, at home and in the community.

Family Fun - From Disney, this site has parenting tips, recipes, games you can play with kids, arts and crafts projects and more.  Don't miss the directions for making over 100 Halloween costumes.

Great Kids - Contains information on general parenting, health, and education for parents and caregivers of kids from birth to age eight. Focuses on resources in CT.

MOMS Club - The MOMS Club of Stamford provides stay-at-home mothers a way to meet other mothers, join activities, playgroups, and attend monthly member meetings.

NNCC - Child Development - This is a part of the National Network for Child Care site from Iowa State. It contains many excellent articles on child development in infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school-age children. It also covers intellectual, emotional/social and brain development by topic.

Parent Soup - Parent Soup has sections for people at all stages of parenting from pre-pregnancy to teen. It also offers lots of chat, with other parents and with experts like pediatricians. The resources section includes baby names, a pregnancy calendar and family/baby-related games.

Parenthood.Com - A comprehensive parenting site with information on everything from health and safety to family travel and recipess.
