Connecticut Homeschool Network - An independent homeschool community dedicated to sharing information, knowledge and resources to support homeschool families.

Family Education.com - This site offers information on child development, school-related issues, and parenting. It also allows parents to connect with experts as well as other parents.

Gifted and Talented Resources - For parents of gifted children, this site will link you to many resources and enrichment programs.

Helping Your Child Get Ready for School - This site, from the U.S. Department of Education, describes the developmental stages from birth to age five, and introduces activities parents can do with their children at each stage to help prepare them for kindergarten.

Helping Your Child Learn Math - This site reproduces a booklet printed by the U.S. Department of Education. It includes basic information and activities to help parents work with their children in grades K-8.

Helping Your Child Learn Science - This site reproduces a booklet printed by the U.S. Department of Education. It includes many science activities children can do at home and in the community.

Helping Your Child With Homework - Prepared by the U.S. Department of Education, this article provides guidance for parents of elementary and middle school students.

Jon's Homeschool Resource Page - This site, which was designed by a parent who homeschools, is a great starting point for the homeschooler. Use the table of contents to find FAQs, essays, online discussion and support groups, web pages and general education and parenting resources.

National Parent Information Network - This site was developed by the child and parent education specialists at ERIC (Educational Resources Information Center). It offers a magazine, question and answer service, and parent resources.

National PTA- Parent Involvement - The National PTA provides information and opportunities that can help you help your children succeed in school.

Parents and Children Together Online - This online magazine is a project of The Family Literacy Center. It's goal is to foster family literacy by providing an opportunity for children and parents to read together.

RIF - This national literacy organization offers tips and resources to help you turn your child of any age into a reader.  They also have a Spanish/English site for families.

Stamford Public Schools - Go here to read all about Stamford schools, the high school catalog and much more.

Starfall - A learning to read activity using short stories designed around letter sounds.

William Pitt Child Development Center - All about the Stamford School Readiness Program, which offers a full day or part-day preschool option for three and four year olds of all economic levels.
