Renewing Items in Person, By Phone, or Online: How to Renew By Phone You may renew most items twice unless someone is waiting for the item. There are 3 ways to renew materials--in person, by telephone, and online. When you renew, please have your library card in front of you and the barcode of item(s) to be renewed. For telephone renewals, please call 203-351-8268. Express books are not renewable. For Interlibrary loans, please call 203-351-8266.
How to Renew Items Online:
Do not hesitate to contact the reference desk at 203-351-8221, 203-351-8222, or 203-351-8231 if you have questions or encounter any problems. If the library owns an item, but it is currently checked out, you can place a hold to receive the item upon its return. Some new titles are in high demand and have long lists of patrons on hold. You can place holds in person, by telephone, or online. After notification, materials will be held for four days. The second type of reservation is an interlibrary loan. In this instance, the library will procure an item for you from another library in the state, if the item is not owned by us and is not a new release. You can place an interlibrary loan in person or by telephone. How to Place Holds Online:
Search for the title of the item you want to place on hold. Then click on the Place Hold label (see below).
OR Search for an item. From the list of search results, choose a single item and click on the Place Hold link in the right hand menu (see below).
Do not hesitate to contact the reference desk at (203) 351-8221, 351-8222, or 351-8231 if you have questions or encounter any problems.

Fines & Fees - Per Day Per Item:
You can check online for which titles you are on the waiting list, whether you have any outstanding bills, and on what date your materials are due. How to Review Your Account Online:
Do not hesitate to contact the Circulation desk at (203) 351-8263 or 351-8264 if you have questions or encounter any problems. * The PIN (Personal Identification Number) is a personal code assigned to every user in the system. If both the user ID and PIN are entered correctly, then you may access confidential information about your circulation status. The primary purpose of the PIN is to provide an extra level of security when permitting patrons to place their own holds and when permitting patrons to view their charges, holds, bills, and requests. For security reasons, we do not give out PIN numbers through email or over the phone. You must come to the library (or any branch) in person with proper ID to have your PIN setup. Change Your PIN: You can change your PIN (password) from the My Account page after you have logged in.
