Full-Time Librarian I, Youth Services

The Ferguson Library is seeking enthusiastic and creative individuals to fill openings at three of our locations to provide library services for children from birth through grade 12.  Positions are available at the Main Library, South End and Harry Bennett branches. The successful candidates will have outstanding customer service skills, strong oral and written communication skills, knowledge of children’s literature and programming, and the ability to work collaboratively with fellow youth services staff members across the Ferguson Library system. In addition to working at the children's reference desk, youth services staff members initiate, plan, and implement a variety of programs and activities for children of all ages, as well as school and community outreach. The applicant should have a passion for children’s literature and experience working with children and young adults from diverse ethnic and socio-diverse backgrounds.
