Stamford Literary Competition

Stamford Literary Competition – Encourage the young writers in your life - your children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, students and friends - by urging them to enter our annual Stamford Literary Competition, sponsored by the Friends of The Ferguson Library and the Stamford Literary Competition Committee. The goal of the competition is to recognize excellence in student writing.
Children in grades 3 - 12 who live in Stamford or attend school here, are invited to submit original works of fiction, non-fiction or poetry, with a maximum length of 1500 words. All entries must be typed, single spaced, with a 12 point font.
This is an annual event with a reception honoring the winners in each category and grade. Entries for 2012 are being processed and the winners will be announced in mid-April.
