Starbucks Coffee opened its Ferguson Library shop on September 13, 1999.
The Ferguson Library is only the second library in the nation with a Starbucks on its premises. It was established here, in the words of the library's President Ernest DiMattia, to "add a quality to the experience of those who currently use the library."
This new 1,700 square-foot Starbucks
shop has a cozy new decor that includes lounge chairs, low-lighting, and dark wood floors. An exciting mural and a steady flow of world music also add to its relaxing environment.
