Ferguson Library Foundation
Mission Statement
The Ferguson Library Foundation is a nonprofit organization incorporated in 1987, which uses private contributions to help the Library enhance its collection and services, beyond what is available through public funding.
Since its incorporation in 1987, The Ferguson Library Foundation has carefully managed individual and corporate contributions to the Library, building a fund that has enriched the quality of library service in Stamford. Over the years, the Foundation has been able to provide material and services to the Library beyond what is available through public funding, helping make The Ferguson Library one of the great public libraries in our state.
Among its gifts, the Foundation has purchased computer equipment and software for the Library, funded furniture and equipment for the Harry Bennett Branch and sponsored a book buying program for the Weed Memorial & Hollander Branch. The Foundation provides funds to buy books for the whole Library system on an ongoing basis.
